I am very interested in the Edwardian age so this blog will include articles about interesting Edwardian characters, Edwardian fashion, and lots of Edwardian subjects!
Lucile Duff-Gordon was a famous British dress-designer who was in the same class as Madeleine Vionnet and Paul Poiret. Her designs have recently been re-discovered. Here is my article about her: The Designing 'It' Girl.
Viola, great timing! I have been trawling around for material on the Duff-Gordons, but not just about the Titanic incident. I want to know about their life in "normal times", and that is not so easy to find.
But I cannot get your It Girl article to load. It is just my computer?
Thank you so much for your comment and telling me about the link. I put the 'http' in twice!
We must be on the same wavelength! Lucile Duff-Gordon was such an interesting person. There are a few books about her.
'Discretions and Indiscretions' is her autobiography. It is available on ILL. I haven't read it yet.
I enjoyed 'The It Girls' about Lucy and her sister, Elinor Glyn, although I was disappointed that the famous law case in which Lucy was involved wasn't even mentioned.
Another book, 'Lucile Ltd' has been published recently. I saw it at the Art Gallery here and it had the most beautiful pictures. It has information from the V & A archives apparently.

My book, Eczema and Atopic Dermatits: The Best Websites has recently been published. I've also had many articles published, but I'd like to write more non-fiction books and, of course, a novel!
My articles can be seen at many websites, including Life in Italy, Crescent Blues, Paris Eiffel Tower Newsletter, and France This Way.
